What's with the name Tactical ARC?

The word "Tactical" has two goals in the naming of the company. The first is conveyed in the definition of the word. Dictionary.com defines "Tactical" in part as: - "...a plan of action designed as an expedient toward gaining a desired end." The whole idea of firearms training for defensive purposes is to create and practice a PLAN of action toward gaining the desired end of you, your loved ones and involved innocents go home at the end of the story. It is not simply about the gun and shooting... the gun is the last resort and running away is a viable, even preferable option. Of course the second thing is the word really catches people's attention. Tell the truth, it was the tactical that got you wasn't it??

So that is the story on the Tactical part. The rest is really self explanatory. ARC is an acronym for Armed Response Consultants. That is really what this is all about. I want to show you how to respond appropriately and safely as an armed individual. The answer is not always draw and shoot. Sometimes it is run away. Sometimes it is avoid the situation that may cause you to NEED to draw and shoot. Sometimes the answer is a lesser use of force. That is where the consultant part comes in. I will present these concepts during the course of the class and help you to think in a manner that you probably had not considered. There is the value in our discourse!

So that is how the name came about!
