My Why!
Hello! I'm Joseph Brothers Jr., owner of Tactical ARC, LLC. My Why for starting this business is simple. I believe this is information that everyone in the United States should have, especially if you choose to be armed, but also if you do not. Having an understanding of the other side is imperative in bridging the gap where disagreement exists.

So, to my personal why. Several years ago, I looked at my 3 year old daughter and decided that i wanted to be here as long as possible to love, nurture and support her. Part of my decision at the time was to protect my health by eating better, getting exercise and visiting my physician regularly. but another aspect of protecting my, and her health was being prepared to respond to a dangerous encounter. That could be from a two or four footed assailant. One need only look at the news daily to see that there is no place exempt from bad folks looking to do bad things and I decided that from then on, me and mine would go home at the end of each story going forward. From that commitment, the idea for Tactical Armed Response Consultants (ARC) was formed.
I have had a concealed carry permit from the state of Georgia for the last 17 years. I began carrying in the beginning without a round chambered because I didn't know what I didn't know. Frankly, I was afraid. That is what happens when you buy a gun, the first holster you can find and strap them on. I was more of a danger to myself and others having had no training and gone to no effort to gain proficiency in any of the disciplines required to safely and effectively wield a deadly weapon.
Now fast forward a few years and I am now a National Rifle Association Certified Pistol instructor, and recently earned the United States Concealed Carry Association's (USCCA) Certified Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals Instructor. Though I am a credentialed firearms instructor, I continue to take tactical pistol and modern sporting rifle (AR) courses to increase my own proficiency and broaden my teaching skillset. The other side of formal firearms training is live fire practice... going to range and making the weapon go BOOM! To keep my round count up, I listened to a coworker a few years ago and began reloading my own ammunition. I am now up to two ammo presses and setup to produce ammunition in 380 ACP, .9mm, .38, .357, .223, 300 Blackout and 6.5 Creedmoor calibers. I have come to enjoy making ammo almost as much as shooting it!
Anyway... there you go... that is my WHY... What's yours??
~ Joe
